Who has access to this website?

This website is primarily meant for family members. For this reason, visitors (i.e. the public) can only view basic information about deceased ancestors and relatives.

All other information, including details of living persons and media items (such as photos and vital records), are only available to those who have been provided with a family member logon.

Depending on how family members are related to us, they have member access to either Adi’s or Edith’s family tree, or in some cases both.

If you are related to us, please contact me to receive your family member logon.

How do you use this website?

There are many different ways of finding and displaying information on this website. Just have a play - you really can’t break anything!

You can navigate the website by selecting any of the menu options at the top or by clicking on any of the links you see.

You can also use the search function in the menu to find a particular person, family, place or really any word.

To get started, I suggest you do any of the following (once you have logged on as a family member):

    •    click on one of the links in the sidebar or statistics section on the home page

    •    select 'Media->Photos' to find family images displayed with the names of the relevant people next to them - simply click on a name to find out more

    •    select ‘View->Lists->Place hierarchy’ to see a Google Maps list of the many places around the world where family members have lived

    •    on any person’s page, select the menu option ‘View->Charts->Relationship to me’ to understand how you are related.

Whenever you see a tree icon next to a name, hover over it and select one of the options to display further information.

Please note that the information displayed for visitors (the public) is very limited. Those who have logged on as family members can view complete lists and detailed information.

How is this website updated?

Genealogical research is never finished. New information comes to light all the time and will be added to this website whenever I get a chance to do so. So it’s worth dropping in every now and then to see what’s new.

As of October 2021, there are more than 9,000 people in Adi’s and Edith’s combined family trees. With your help, we may be able to find and add more of our relatives and ancestors!

Depending on how much interest there is in this, I'll look into providing editor access to those who would like to apply changes or add images themselves. However, for now, please send me a message if you notice any errors, would like to add information or contribute photos.

What is the 'In Memoriam' section about?

Many of our relatives were killed in the Holocaust - some of them were known to us and many more were identified through my research. To honour their memory, their details are provided here.

What changes if I choose a language other than English in the menu?

You may have noticed that there are additional language options available in the menu (in addition to American and British English). Selecting any of these options does not change all content on this website. The main aspects that are translated are the menu items and standard genealogical data, such as birth, death and marriage related data.

Most of the information I provide on this website is written in English. Other languages occasionally used when quoting from sources are German, Dutch and French. If you are struggling to understand any information you find here in a language other than English, please contact me and I will see if I can provide a translation.

Why can't I see any media items?

This website includes hundreds of media items but they are only displayed when you are logged on as a family member.
